KATHMANDU: With the government’s decision to open domestic flights, domestic airlines companies will be operating regular flights from Thursday. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has prepared a schedule of 64 daily flights per day.
According to CAAN, there will be only five flights per hour every day. Domestic flights where closed in Nepal on April 6. Airlines have started booking tickets as per the flight schedule made public by CAAN.
Buddha Air has been allowed 31 daily flights, 15 for Yeti Airlines, 7 flights for Shree Airlines and 3 flights for Surya airlines. The airlines company, which flies in remote areas, has been allowed to operate eight daily flights from Kathmandu.
Currently, only Tara Air and Summit Air are flying from Kathmandu to remote areas. Although Sita Air flies in remote areas, it is providing services in remote areas based on regional airports.
